HOPE, Ind. - The Town of Hope has announced that its new sidewalk loop is finished. The Indiana Office of Community and Rural Affairs (OCRA) was in Hope last week to help open the new two-mile sidewalk loop.
Town officials thanked OCRA, Southeastern Indiana Regional Planning Commission, and Precision Pour Concrete for their work and dedication to making Hope a better place.
The two-mile sidewalk loop, designed to connect the town, begins at the Hope Town Square Park, goes east to Norman Park, and turns back west, winding through Hope neighborhoods before ending up back at the Hope Town Square. There are yellow arrows guiding walkers through the loop.
The Town of Hope is partnering with the Hope Ministerial Committee and Windrose Health to participate in two special walks each month. The times and dates of those walks are forthcoming.
