Road closures on Washington St today, tomorrow

COLUMBUS, Ind.- Bartholomew County Emergency Management is announcing lane closures on Washington Street between 14th Street and 16th Street beginning at 6:00 a.m, today, August 11, for main line repairs.

UPDATE: Driver identified in fatal accident at U.S. 31 and Whiteland Road

WHITELAND, Ind. -UPDATE: Medical and Whiteland Fire personnel at the scene determined that Driver 1, Danny Fine, 72, of Indianapolis, was deceased. At this time, the cause of death appears to be related to a medical event. The cause and manner of death remain pending the results of testing by the Johnson County Coroner.
